INK & IMPACT™ is a 16-week guided publishing accelerator for young leaders ages 7–18. Every child is coached from blank page to finished, globally distributed book — no matter their age or experience.
Apply for your child — start here Application + interview required · Selective cohort · Max 25 participants"Imagine the day your child holds their published book — their name on the cover, their words inside, their legacy already started. At any age, that moment changes everything."
— That moment is exactly what INK & IMPACT™ is built to create.
Every participant is placed in an age-appropriate track with peers at their level — same professional outcome, same published book, coaching tailored to where they are.
Track placement confirmed during the application interview based on age and readiness.
At every age, INK & IMPACT™ builds something that lasts long after the 16 weeks end.
Their published book is theirs forever — on Amazon, in the world, and in your home.
ISBN, cover design, formatting, and global distribution are all included in the one-time fee.
A dedicated writing coach guides every manuscript session — no child gets left stuck.
Weekly leadership sessions teach your child how to think, commit, and finish what they start.
A published book at any age from 7 to 18 is remarkable — on applications, in interviews, and in life.
Every cohort ends with a real launch celebration — a memory your whole family keeps forever.
Every participant across all three tracks receives the same complete, professional publishing package.
This is what your child walks away with — a real, professionally published book.
Every week is structured, purposeful, and coached. No child finishes this program without a completed book.
Your child discovers their voice, defines their message, and builds the foundation of their book with expert coaching designed for their age track.
The heart of the program — weekly writing and coaching sessions, accountability check-ins, and a midpoint manuscript checkpoint at week 8 so nothing falls behind.
Manuscript handed to publishing partners. Professional editing, cover design, and global distribution setup begins. Your child sees their book come to life.
Your child is officially a published author. A formal launch event closes the cohort. This is the moment you both remember forever.
Professional publishing typically costs thousands of dollars — cover design, ISBN, formatting, printing, and global distribution. For INK & IMPACT™ participants, every one of those costs is covered. That's made possible through the generous support of the DragonFly Young Writers Fund, whose mission is to remove financial barriers so young voices can be heard.
What DragonFly covers for every participant:
Cover design · Interior formatting · ISBN registration · Print production · Amazon + global distribution
The DragonFly Young Writers Fund is sustained by community donations and organizational partners. By enrolling your child in INK & IMPACT™, you are also supporting a fund that makes publishing possible for young writers who need it most.

Same price across all three age tracks. The founding cohort rate will not return after Cohort 001 closes.
Absolutely. The Sprout Track (ages 7–11) is designed specifically for young writers with age-appropriate coaching, pacing, and formats. Picture books, illustrated stories, and short chapter books are all welcome. The coaching meets your child exactly where they are.
None at all. We accept complete beginners at every age. What matters is that your child has something they want to say — a story, an idea, a message. We teach them everything else.
Yes — the cohort fee covers everything including ISBN, cover design, formatting, and global distribution. There are no additional fees after enrollment. What you see is what you pay.
Approximately 2.5 hours per week — one 90-minute leadership session and one 60-minute manuscript session. Additional personal writing time is encouraged but flexible around your family's schedule.
Your child does. They retain full rights and receive royalties through our publishing partner Veritas Publishing. It is their book — permanently and completely.
Yes. Parents are welcome to begin the application. Both the applicant and a parent or guardian are required for the interview before a spot is confirmed — we want to make sure the whole family is aligned.
That's exactly what the structure prevents. Weekly coaching, cohort accountability, and a dedicated writing mentor all keep your child on track. No one crosses the finish line alone — that's the whole point of the cohort model.
Each session is run within age tracks — your 9-year-old won't be in the same manuscript room as a 17-year-old. Track placement is confirmed during the interview process to make sure every child is with peers at their level.
Cohort 001 spots are limited across all three tracks. If your child has ever talked about writing a book — or if you know they have a story worth telling — this is the moment.
